JOY IN THE JOURNEY….IS REFRESHING

Are you someone who needs to makes lists for the day? My life can be very hectic and there are not enough hours in the day to finish my, ‘TO DO’ list. I can end my day dry and spent, feeling like a complete failure. I have to admit I envy those of you who can start and end your day with a feeling of satisfaction that you have completed all you set out to do.

After sleepless nights of fretting and worn out days, I realized that this was a ‘TO DO’ list of my own making. It was my, TO DO’s, and too often I placed unrealistic expectations on my day. Maybe you do the same thing to yourself.

Do you know that God has a plan already written especially for you? When I remember that God has a plan for my life, that He has written, I no longer have to worry about my,’TO DO’s. For Jesus said, “My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

I have observed the people who end their day in satisfaction are the ones whose agenda is to live out God’s plan and not their own. They have spent their busy day in the presence of the Lord.

You may be thinking that this is impossible and it is, if you do not have a relationship with the Lord Jesus. He says, “Repent, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that the times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

The promises of refreshing come from the Lord and He keeps His promises. He will never let His ‘TO DO’ list overwhelm you. For He will provide and equip you for every task, so you can end your day satisfied.

It’s up to you. If you find yourself working out your ‘TO DO’s’ in a dry and thirsty land, I know where there is water. Joy in the journey is meant to be, Refreshing, for in the presence of the Lord is fullness of joy.

Lord Jesus, Thank You for your refreshing presence.

NKJV, Matthew 11:30, Deut.8:15, 2Tim.3:17, Acts.3:19, Palm 16:11
